Here's an unrelated question for my CHEC friends. The Christmas season is fast approaching, and many students will be returning to their homes, which these days are spread out all over the country. I've always believed (and been told many times) that students are our best recruitment tools. What are some ways/incentives to involve them in recruitment over the Christmas season?

I endorse the philosophy that satisfied students are your institution's best recruiter... two thoughts:
1)be careful how you arrange the 'incentives' so that you are abiding by best practices (the best practices addressing commission for recruited prospects apply to 'staff,' however could be a fine line)
2)use methods that equip the student ambassador to promote your institution longer term... ie free t-shirts, postage paid "institution specific" post cards, viewbooks, etc.
